Not anonymous ratings. Not algorithmic scores. Written words from people you can look up.

What community comments are

After a stay, members can write a short note about the experience — as a guest commenting on a host's property, or as a host commenting on a guest they hosted. These notes live on member profiles and on property listings for anyone in the club to read.

There are no star ratings. No anonymous submissions. Every comment is tied to the member who wrote it, with their name and role displayed. If someone leaves a comment, they stand behind it.

A guest can leave a comment about a host's property and the stay experience. These appear on the host's profile and on the relevant property listing — visible to other guests considering a stay.

What hosts write

A host can leave a comment about a guest they welcomed onto their property. These appear on the guest's profile — useful context for other hosts considering accepting a stay request from that member.

How it works

Writing and managing your comments happens entirely from your member profile.

Write from your profile

Go to your profile, open the Comments section, and write a note. You'll record the property name, your role (guest or host), and the month of the stay.

Choose who sees it

Each comment has a visibility toggle. Set it to public and the community can see it. Keep it private and only you can see it — useful for notes you want to remember but not share.

It appears where it matters

Public guest comments show on the host's profile and on their property listings. Public host comments show on the guest's profile. You can edit or change visibility any time.

You control visibility

Every comment you write has a simple public/private toggle. You decide what the community sees — and you can change your mind at any time.

Public

Visible to all Fyreside members. Appears on the relevant member's profile and on property listings. Your name and role are shown with the comment. This is how comments contribute to community trust.

Private

Only you can see it. Useful for keeping your own record of stays — dates, notes, things you want to remember — without sharing with the community. Private comments never appear on other members' profiles or property listings.

What a comment looks like

Comments are kept short and to the point — up to 500 characters.

Quiet, well-kept land with a great fire pit setup. The host was easy to communicate with and the directions were clear. Exactly what I was looking for — private, no frills, no neighbors. Would return without hesitation.

How this is different from reviews

Platform review systems are built to serve the platform. Community comments are built to serve the members who write and read them.
