A private membership club for property hosts and travelers.
Fyreside Club is a private community that connects property owners with travelers through direct, private agreements. Not corporate platforms.
We're not another booking app. We're not a marketplace. We're a club, a private membership where people who share similar values can connect through private agreements, without a corporate platform in the middle of every relationship.
The private directory lists three kinds of arrangements: private stays on members' land, private events on properties whose hosts open them to weddings, retreats, and gatherings, and helper / work-exchange arrangements on homesteads, working farms, and ranches. Different kinds of relationships, same foundation: a private agreement between two members, on their own terms.
When you join Fyreside Club, you're not buying a service. You're becoming a member of a private club, and all the relationships belong to you.
Men and women have been hosting travelers on their land for centuries, through personal relationships, handshake agreements, and trust built between people who knew each other or vouched for one another. That model works. It works well.
Fyreside Club brings that tradition into the modern world, with the structure and community to make it work at scale. We believe the relationship between a property owner and their guests belongs to them, not to a platform.
We believe in:
Fyreside doesn't take a cut of stays. When a guest pays a host, that payment goes directly from one member to the other. No corporate intermediary touching the money, no booking fees layered on top. The agreement that governs the stay is a private arrangement between two people, not a transaction processed through a platform's terms of service.
That's not a workaround. It's the point. You're a member of a club, not a user of a service. The relationship between you and whoever you're hosting or staying with belongs to you both, not to a platform that can change its rules, take a larger cut, or remove you tomorrow.
Kyle Henson founded Fyreside Club. For fifteen years he lived full-time on the road in an RV, homeschooling his daughter, raising a family, and running a business from wherever the rig was parked. That life gave him a deep appreciation for private land, the freedom to move through it, and what it means to build something real outside the default structures.
He's backpacked thousands of miles across the country and driven thousands more, has spent more nights under the stars than he can count, and these days you'll find him on the pickleball court when he's not behind a laptop.
Fyreside grew out of years spent thinking carefully about private property and direct agreements, and why the platforms that were supposed to help property owners and travelers kept extracting more while delivering less of what actually mattered: real relationships between real people.
He found a framework for thinking about it clearly in Greg's work at Private Life, a grounded, practical approach to relating with your property, your work, and the world from a position of clarity and authority. That's what Fyreside is built on. The private membership model, the direct agreements, the way we handle access to private land: none of these are workarounds. They're how this was always supposed to work.
Whether you're a host or a traveler, Fyreside Club is your community.
